Day 1: Marrakech – Alto Atlas – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Garganta Del Dades :

4 days tour from Marrakech to Fes ,We will leave Marrakech at the agreed time, we will pick you up at your Riad / Hotel and start our route towards the Dades Gorges, we will cross the high mountains of the High Atlas crossing the mountain pass of Tizi n’Tichka at 2,260 meters altitude and enjoying the many nomadic Berber villages that inhabit this area. We will continue via Ouarzazate crossing the valley of Roses or also called (Kella Mogouna), surprising for the contrast of colors and passages, where the arid reddish color of the mountains contrasts with the intense green of the vegetation, and as its name indicates, well known for the massive cultivation of roses, Little by little we will go into the Dades Gorges, where the so-called “Route of the thousand Kasbahs” begins and, although the number may seem exaggerated, the truth is that there are very many of them.

Day 2: Valle del dades – Gargantas del todra – Erfoud -Merzouga :

After a good Moroccan breakfast, we will head towards the desert of Merzouga, passing first through the Todra palm grove and making a stop to enjoy its magnificent views, its abandoned kasbahs and its hanging houses, we will continue our route towards the Todra Gorges, during the trip you can appreciate how green the valley is, with its mud houses, and see the people working, we will arrive at the impressive gorges, more than 100 meters high, where we will stop to walk around and observe the daily life of the people and how beautiful the houses are.

We will continue our journey towards Merzouga passing through Erfoud (City of fossils). In the afternoon we will leave the 4×4 and the camels will be waiting for us to cross the great dunes of the desert, an excursion of about two hours that will take us to spend the night in the heart of the desert in a nomad camp (haimas) where we can enjoy the sunset, the sunset, the stars and the sunrise between the dunes. An experience you will never forget. Dinner and overnight in tents (an unforgettable night).

Day 3: Merzouga ” Tour of the dunes of Erg Chebbi :

Early in the morning we will return with the camels to the Riad, to take a shower and have breakfast. We will continue our route to explore the small villages located at the foot of the dunes of Erg Chebbi (Hassi Labied, Merzouga and Khamlia).

In Hassi Labied we will make a stop where we can visit the system of irrigation canals and the set of adobe houses, on the way to Merzouga we will stop at the Lake of DayetSrji, (in rainy seasons you can see a salt lake) and as the migratory birds pink flamingos, wild ducks, the reddish sheldrack and the curraca have their stay in this lake. On the way to Kamlia we expect powerful show desert foxes, reptiles and mammals, we will arrive in Kamlia (Known as the village of the black people), its inhabitants are ethnic Gnaoua and Berber, were brought as slaves from Central and West Africa, Its main source of income is agriculture, livestock and tourism, its warm, friendly and quiet people will welcome us with a cup of tea (Berber whiskey) while we enjoy the legendary music of their ancestors and rest in this wonderful landscape that offers us the desert.

Our next stop will be the panoramic view offered by the golden dunes near the Algerian border, where we will picnic under the shade of a tree to continue to visit a typical nomadic Berber family that amazingly still live in tents, they take care of the herds of cows, goats and camels and welcome us, They will welcome us in their tent to know their way of life while we enjoy the taste of a good cup of tea, then you will have the opportunity to visit the black volcanic rocks and the panoramic view offered by the Aubergue Yasmina, a scenery full of dunes and the nearby lake (Spring), we will return to the hotel for the night.

day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Er-Rachidia – Ziz Gorges – Ifrane – Fes:

In the morning and after a good Moroccan breakfast we will leave for Rissani where we will make a short visit to Zawiya Moulay Ali ash-Sharif (Mausoleum that allows entry to non-Muslims, very interesting for its arcades and mosaics), we will also have time to stroll through the Souk (local market), and the opportunity to see the fondouks (place where the donkeys gather), we will continue our route towards Errachidia passing first by Erfoud (it is characterized as the most important city of fossil and marble carriers, with its typical and traditional houses of the area where the Berber people live and for its short and narrow streets, and as a detail also for being part of the landscape of some of the films where the desert appeared, such as The Mummy where they appeared in this film corners of the village, the next stop we will make will be a panoramic view of the Oasis of Aoufous (declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, which stand out with the desert-hamada of its surroundings. Among the palm groves and orchards stand out several kasbahs as the ancient Alaouita Palace of Maaka, we will pass through Errachidia (city known as the military city), at 1,010 meters altitude and located in the arid zone at the foot of the Atlas collects all the meltwater forming a swamp that dies in the Sahara.

We will stop at the Hassan Edaakhil dam, where we can enjoy the contrasting colors of blue water with the ocher of the mountains, the greens of the palm trees with the red earth of the mountains, we will continue following the Ziz river where you can enjoy the typical small houses of ocher color that are arranged along this valley forming a spectacular landscape. Passing through the tunnel of the Legionnaire (Zaabal), our journey continues through the Middle Altas crossing the Tizi N’Talghom pass (1907m), arriving in Midelt where we will stop for lunch, then you can enjoy the magnificent view offered by the mountain Jbel Ayachi (one of the highest mountains in North Africa, and located at 3,747 m above sea level) and surrounded by peaks and passes that often exceed 3,000 meters in altitude.

We will continue towards Arzou surrounded by hills, it is a perfect place to walk and enjoy excellent views, we will visit the cedar forests where you can have the opportunity to see the old tree (800 years old also called Cèdre Gouraud), we will continue along the road and make a stop where we will leave the car to observe the macaque monkeys that come out to the road to eat.

Our trip will continue towards Ifran (Switzerland of Morocco or Moroccan Chamonix), a small village with more European than Moroccan air, located at 1. 650 meters high, a curious place to see the big difference between the villages that are next to it, one of its curiosities is “The Lion of the Atlas”, sculpted in stone and according to legend it was made by a Christian prisoner, we will also visit the University of Al Akhawayn, which opened its doors to students in January 1995, its mission is an independent, public and non-profit University. We will continue our journey towards Fes passing by Imouzar Kander (Two Brothers) where the market is held where many farmers in the area come to offer the products of their crops or their craftsmanship. We will arrive in Fes mid-afternoon where we will transfer you to the hotel of your choice and end of our services.
